I have been jogging for the last 10 years frequently but I started running more seriously about 3 years ago when I decided to run my first half-marathon distance. After my first half marathon I kept my habit of regular running and since then I have run a few marathons and I even did a 50K ultra trail running earlier this year. I have become by now a trail runner and when I spend hours in the forest I get my batteries fully recharged. I have learnt a lot by running and certainly I have become more dedicated and persistent to reach my goals. Surely I have become stronger both physically and mentally but most importantly I have learnt to value my health and the opportunity that I can take my running shoes every day and I can enjoy the freedom of movement. It is an honour that I can run for such a wonderful goal and by this I can help many seriously ill children to explore the joy of movement.
