Hi Everyone, I decided to run my first ever marathon on the 29th September back in my hometown Budapest. This will be a huge challenge for me as before I started my training a few weeks ago the longest distance I had run was 10km. I am running to support Bator Tabor which is a foundation in Hungary organising therapeutic recreation camps for seriously ill children and their families free of charge. During their time in the camp the kids have the opportunity to learn new skills, engage in activities that are out of their comfort zones and grow their confidence in their own strength to help them battle their illness. They can all do this in a safe environment where they are looked after by healthcare professionals and meet others from a similar background.
