The Sütihajsza Story Bátor Tábor has been a defining part of Csabi and Süti’s lives for over a decade. Csabi first encountered the camp back in 2012 through the Charity Heroes (Élménykülönítmény) program, and became a volunteer in 2016. Süti (aka Tamás Tor) joined in 2015, and has been actively involved in the mission of the Foundation ever since 💛. Over the years, they’ve taken part in many different camp sessions, wearing many hats: technician, fishing & rowing buddy 🛶🎣, and even a short stint in the media team 🎥. In recent years, life and work commitments pulled them away from camp life, but their connection to Bátor Tábor never faded. From behind the scenes, they found new ways to support the community whenever they could. This year brought a new burst of energy: new chapters in their lives, new goals – and a long-standing bucket list item finally resurfaced: a charity run 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️. 💡 So how did the idea come about? At the start of the year, Süti set a personal goal: to finally run a half marathon. At first, it was just for himself – but soon turned into something more: a chance to run for a cause. After two attempts, the dream time (under 2 hours) still didn’t happen ⏱️, and the year’s race calendar started to thin out… That’s when the SPAR Marathon came up – with an option to run as a relay pair. Same distance, shared challenge, double the experience. Süti reached out to Csabi, who didn’t hesitate: If he couldn’t join a camp session this year, this was the next best way to reconnect – just like it all began years ago. And so, the "Csabi Chasing Süti" project was born! 💪🍪 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️ One shared marathon – one shared goal: healing through joy. 💛 Why are they running? Since neither of them can be at camp this year, this run is their way to reconnect, and to raise donations so that more children living with serious or chronic illnesses – and their families – can experience the magic of Bátor Tábor 🎈.
