We spend your donation to give back the childhood of seriously and chronically ill children with the help of our method, the therapeutic recreation.
On 12 October I will face the biggest challenge of my life: the 42 kilometers of the Budapest Marathon, for the first time in my life. But this run is not about me: I signed up for the competition as a charity runner, with the aim to collect donations for the Bátor Tábor Foundation. Bátor Tábor is an adventure camp for children with serious illnesses (diabetes, cancer, hemophilia and JRA) where we use the method of therapeutic recreation to help them accept and overcome the physical and mental consequences of their illnesses. Since 2001, the camp has welcomed more than 6000 campers, with the help of over 3200 volunteers (called “cimbora” – a Hungarian world for friend), who put all their energy in creating a cheerful, welcoming and inspiring environment where they can experience success by overcoming personalized challenges. I am proud to be a part of that team since 2012, that’s why I decided to contribute to the activities of the foundation with more than just my volunteer work. I am planning to collect donations with my run, so that more and more children can experience the wonderful little world called Bátor Tábor. If you can afford, please donate and help us change the lives of ill children!
