Hi there, welcome on my page. My name is Istvan Gazda and I am planning to make my first full Marathon run. Last year, when I decided to run my first full Marathon I originally wanted to do it for my own personal achievement. However, during this summer I won the honour to participate in a special camp called “Bator Tabor” (Camp of Courage) where I took care of sick children as a volunteer helper. The Bátor Tábor Foundation (Camp of Courage Foundation), supports Hungarian and European children living with serious diseases (such as cancer, diabetes, haemophilia, and JRA). Each summer there are four Hungarian and two International terms available , as well as some “family camps” in the autumn (organised for families who are bringing up sick children). The camp I attended has totally changed my way of thinking and my general attitude to life! Concepts and Values like the "love of life", happiness, "helping each other", "adapting to others" and gratitude have gained such really deep meanings for me, that I have never before experienced in my every day life. Later, when I met the "charity runners’ " community of the Bátor Tábor (called The Troop of Philanthropists), I realised that with my marathon run I can help sick children. I would like to ask you for a contribution to this mission. (with as little as the price of one or two movie tickets).
