Following our successful Rock Rabbit trail race, representing the runner community of Bátor Tábor, we are planning to dedicate our next run with my wife, Andrea, the 42nd RAC City Lodge 32km Tough One – 2015 on the 22nd of November 2015, for this charitable purpose. We joined the runner community of Bátor Tábor Foundation organizing therapeutic recreation camping programmes for severely ill children. Our aim is to collect donations amounting to 200 000 Forint. Please, help our campaign: sponsor a mile of our run! Our first Élménykülönítmény (“The Troop of Philanthropists”) run was a fantastic experience, so inspired by the success we would like to represent the Élménykülönítmény (“The Troop of Philanthropists”) team again in South Africa and inspire our friends, colleagues, relatives to open up for a common charity purpose. Bátor Tábor Foundation organizes free recreational camps for seriously ill children and their families since 2001. Every year more than a 1000 children have participates in the camps, which aim to provide children who are exhausted and have low self-esteem due to their illness and hospital treatments with enjoyable experiences and a sense of achievement. Participation in camps increases their self-esteem and allows them to forget their problems for a while. These experiences are lasting, and will be remembered by the children long after the camps. As one of the kids said: “The doctors gave back my life, Bátor Tábor gave back my willingness to live.” On 22nd of November 2015 we will line up for these goals and memories on the 42nd RAC City Lodge 32km Tough One – 2015 run again.
