I wouldn’t have thought it to be possible before February 2014 that I would ever consider running as a hoppy of my everyday life. Since then whenever I can devote some time and energy to that, I put on my running shoes and spend my spare time with my new hobby. Running has taught me how much it is worth to have goals and also how to stick to those. By joining the UltraBalaton Runners Team and being part of this charity program, I would like to inspire my family members, friends and all those in my surrounding also to participate in this charity program. Bátor Tábor Foundation was established to offer therapeutic recreation programs for children with cancer and chronic diseases, and their families. Every year, there are over 1000 campers in their sessions who can participate in programs that they otherwise might miss out on due to their illnesses. Surely, besides medicine, this is the experience that means a great contribution to their recreation. Quoting one of the children having participated: “Doctors are giving back my life while Bátor Tábor is giving back my vim.” On the last weekend of May 2015, I will be there at the start of UltraBalaton running with 9 other runners around the lake for the above mentioned goals.
