Kusztos Tamas

Hi everyone, My name is Tamas and I will be fighting on the 19th of January in a white collar charity boxing fight, Midnight Mayhem. The night is all about charities and, as part of the fighters' "obligations", we will all be supporting a charitable cause and raising awareness about the work they do. I chose Bátor Tábor because of the widespread positive change they make for kids and — as a father of two myself — their mission is something I can relate to and genuinely look up to. On top of that, they work very transparently, which for me is an important factor when choosing a charity to support. Bátor Tábor creates life-changing experiences for children and families affected by serious and chronic illnesses. Through their camps and programmes, they give children the opportunity to step outside the everyday reality of hospitals, treatments and limitations, and simply be kids again. But it goes beyond giving them a few days of fun: their experiences are designed to build confidence, courage, independence and a sense of possibility that children can take home with them. I particularly love the idea that a child who may constantly be told what they cannot or should not do gets put into an environment where the question becomes: "What if I can?" That feels strangely appropriate for a boxing event too. So on January 19th, I will step into the ring and take a few punches — and hopefully give a few more back — for a cause that deserves the attention. There is already a guaranteed donation to Bátor Tábor connected to my fight, but I would love to take this much further. Every additional donation made through this page goes towards supporting their work and helping more children and families experience what Bátor Tábor can offer. If you would like to support me, don't do it because I'm voluntarily getting punched in the face. Do it for the kids who are fighting battles considerably bigger than mine.
