Oslo Maraton / Maraton váltó
At first, this idea of running for charity seemed a little weird to me. It’s not like it’s new to me, but I just never really got it. I couldn’t get my head around how running would help anyone (well, except your own health). But now that I am participating and actually doing it myself, I’m am able to see the connection.
Running for charity isn’t just about running. It’s about commitment, setting goals, participating, team work and let’s not forget the final goal; helping others that might not have the same privileges or capabilities as us. This activity makes us realize how rewarding helping others can be.
What I find really interesting is that this activity provides some counterbalance. It teaches us that lending a hand might not be that easy, but at the same time even more important. We are challenging ourselves thereby learning that helping and taking care of others is equally as important even when we meet obstacles along the way. It makes us appreciate the life we live and the life of others.
