An enforced rest before the marathon

Unexpected situations always happen – especially when you put yourself into something new, where you don’t yet know how you’ll react. My right ankle has now decided: “Fruzsi, thanks, that’s enough – I’m checking out for a bit.” Unfortunately, it developed an inflammation that made running painful just 3 weeks before the marathon. ⚖️ While preparing for the marathon, I’m facing a lot of sacrifices, careful planning, and often long, uncomfortable training runs. Of course, all of this was my own decision – but this period still comes with compromises.
